I can’t believe last year went so quickly and it’s already 2018!!!!!
January is the month of new years resolutions – and most of you have probably resolved to lose weight, exercise more, eat less or eat healthier. You are not alone! Although these resolutions are usually doomed for failure…let’s make an effort together NOT to let this happen!
Why do so many new year’s resolutions end in failure?
Resolutions fail because they are VAGUE.
Like, how would you know if you’ve achieved your resolution to eat “healthier”? Does eating a piece of lettuce on the 12th of August count? – I think not…
Which is why your goals need to be CLEARLY DEFINED and REALISTIC! I promise this will increase your success rate by 100% (because let’s face it, you haven’t been very successful). Try and say something like: I want to lose 10 kgs in 2018, or I want to go to the gym 3 times a week for the entire year, or I want to cut out all processed foods and never eat fast food this year.
Those are measurable and achievable goals because you know exactly HOW to get there and you’re not just saying “Hey! I want to look like a Victoria’s Secret model by 2019” ?
So, that’s my little bit of advice for the year ? I have learnt that from countless years of failed resolutions!
